A: No, in some cases you only need 1 great-grandparent from the country to be eligible.


Q: Will getting Dual Citizenship for a European country affect my American Citizenship?
A: No, because the US doesn’t officially recognize Dual Citizenship your American citizenship will not be affected.

A: Yes, and you will be responsible for complying with all the laws applying to other citizens of that country. However, you may register in that country for status as a “citizen living abroad” which could give you a different status than those citizens living in your new country of citizenship.
